    Energy policy including the gas connection between Poland and the Norwegian continental shelf were discussed by State Secretary P. Naimski during his visit to Copenhagen.

    On 29. November 2017 Secretary of State and Plenipotentiary of the Government of Poland for strategic energy infrastructure Mr. Piotr Naimski visited Copenhagen, where he met with the Permanent Secretary at the Danish Ministry for Energy, Climate and Utilities Mr. Thomas Egebo.

     

    Energy policy both in the bilateral and broader EU context was the main subject of discussions. Moreover, the state of play of the planned gas pipeline connecting Poland via Denmark with the gas reserves of the Norwegian shelf called Baltic Pipe was extensively pondered. “I am pleased to note that due to the engagement, the Polish and Danish investors works on the Baltic Pipe go in accordance with the envisaged schedule. Differentiation of gas delivery routes for the Baltic region and Poland, but also the broader Central Europe is an absolute precondition for the creation of a competitive gas market in our part of the world” – underlined Minister P. Naimski addressing his Danish counterpart.
